By attaching great significance to development of friendship and collaboration relation with European states, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Slovakia visited Azerbaijan in last May, and Memorandum was signed on cooperation between ministers of justice.
As continuance of the interrelations, President of the Judicial-Legal Council, Minister of Justice Mr. Fikrat Mammadov was in Slovakia with official visit with delegation on 22-25th of February, on invitation of newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Slovakia Mrs. Viear Petrikova. Within the warm meeting that was held by Minister of Justice Mrs. V.Petrikova, wide perspectives on development of legal collaboration between the countries were noted.
By carrying out communication of experience on justice and judicial activity, information was given about wide spectrum judicial reforms in Azerbaijan, which are being leaded by Azerbaijan President Mr. Ilham Aliev, and discussions were held on actual issues, as activity of Justice Academy, training of judges and the candidates, execution of judgments, establishment of administrative justice.
Significance of the Conference of ministers of justice on future of European Court on Human Rights, improvement of national judicial system of every country on increasing of efficiency of the European Court were emphasized during discussions.
After the meeting, the ministers held the briefing for representatives of mass-media on development of relationship in judicial field of the countries, and reforms on modernization of judiciary and justicia of Azerbaijan.
The meetings have been held within the frame of the visit, with Prosecutor General of Slovakia, and leaderships of the Constitutional and Supreme courts, effective realization of justice, collaboration issues were discussed, and productive interchange of opinions and experience were carried out.
Due to paying attention to carrying out measures on strengthen potential of our Justice Academy, Justice Academy of Slovakia were visited, and were familiar with activity of the Academy closely.
In connection with experience communication, on measure, that improve infrastructure of Azerbaijan courts, working condition of the 1st instance courts were being familiar with, and exchange of opinions were done with Slovakian judges about productive activity of judicial system.
